McDonald's Nutrition and Should You Order The Salad?

McDonald's and nutrition aren't two words that often go together but hey it's on their website so it must be true right. They do have some products that though I wouldn't call them very nutritios are at least better for you than their normal fair. But, at the same time I think most people know what to expect when they walk through the door at their local McDonald's restraunt it's not to get healthy food it's to get something quick and cheap and probably not very good for you but hey if fills your stomach and maybe your wasteline.

McDonald's Salads
     If you look at the chart above you can see that the healthy choice of the salad is not really as healthy as you think by looking at the numbers. Besides the 1 gram of trans fats is almost better for you to eat the cheeseburger than a salad. But at least with the salad you can identify what is in it not so sure with the burger. That is really hard for me to believe how can you mess up a salad this much that it's not as healthy as a McDonald's cheeseburger? It must be the dressing and the condiments and things that go one it that make it the Premium Southwest Salad instead of just a garden salad. So I think McDonald's has a long way to go in the nutrition dept. or not because they are selling millions of burgers without dealing with nutrition really so their recipe works. Just think about that next time your in the drive through should you really order the salad?
