Ford Focus and Fusion Contenders In Hybrid, EV Market

Ford, it's not a name you think of when talking about high mileage vehicles with their class leading F-150 pickup being a perennial bestseller in the truck market, despite great competition from the other companies.
But with the new Ford Focus all Electric vehicle coming out for 2012 and the all ready released Ford Fusion Hybrid the competition might want to take notice that Ford is stepping up to the plate in the Hybrid EV marketplace.
Ford Focus EV
The 2012 all Electric Ford Focus is being marketed and you can reserve your today this is an option for those people considering a hybrid but just want to get totally off gasoline. Or for those whose commutes fall within the 100 mile daily range of the Ford Focus EV. For those buyers who are not quite ready to take the electric plunge you can still get the Ford Focus in a gasoline model that gets 40 mpg which in itself is really good for a gasoline powered car considering the Toyota Prius gets about 54 mpg and it's a hybrid.
Ford Fusion Hybrid
Again for those not quite ready to take the electric car plunge or whose commutes daily are longer than 100 miles the For Fusion Hybrid is for you. This is the Hybrid model of the very popular Ford Fusion. Which is all ready a very fuel efficient vehicle and with the hybrid technology will only be more so.
There are still many naysayers to the whole hybrid and electric vehicle industry but to those people I simply say drive down to your local auto dealer and have a look around they are here and doing well and hybrid technology has been around for a long time now more than ten years in the Prius.
Electric Vehicles are starting to come online now with major manufacturers producing vehicles for an accepting public such as the Nissan Leaf and now the Ford Focus and the new Fiat just released this year. Now to the question of what comes first the infrastructure to charge all these vehicles or the vehicles I think the case has been made that once the vehicles are selling and they are that infrastructure will be built out.
